With the release of Bluebeam Revu 2018, we were introduced to a whole new user interface...and a bunch of bugs and glitches.
This was unfortunate, and extremely frustrating for many users. Bluebeam worked fast to squash those bugs, and as they did, they published incremental updates (2018.1, 2018.2, etc.). At the time of writing this post, we currently sit at 2018.5.0. They actually delayed the release of 2019 in order to fix some of the issues with 2018. If you haven't upgraded yet because of all of the bug reports, this latest version seems stable and (fairly) bug free, so it might be a good time to upgrade. If you don't pay for the annual maintenance (which means you get the major updates like going from 2017 to 2018) for free, then you may want to consider just holding off till the release of 2019, which is expected soon (I am currently beta testing it).
With all the bugs that needed to be fixed in 2018, its really important that you keep your version updated. Bluebeam Revu will not do that automatically! It is a manual process that you must initiate. Want some motivation? Check out the list (the VERY long list) of things that have been fixed since the initial release of Revu 2018.0, and remember that the minor releases (the ones that fix these bugs) are free, so go check now and make sure you are up to date.
