2024 - This past summer a group of LinkedIn Learning (LIL) Instructors met in New York City to collaborate on content and strategy for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction communities (AEC). This marks the first time that this entire group has met together, and it was fitting that the meeting was hosted in the offices of Engineering News Record. About half the participants were in-person, with the other half joining virtually. With so many changes occurring both in the industry and surrounding learning and training strategies, it was beneficial for the instructors to have the opportunity to share ideas, challenges and solutions.
At the top of the list of discussion items was the potential for instructors to collaborate on joint projects. Jim Rogers and Shaun Bryant have done a number of LinkedIn Livestreams in the past, but other opportunities were identified that may lead to some future collaborations, both on and off of the LinkedIn Learning platform.
Following the AEC instructor meetup in the morning, an even larger group of instructors met together in person to continue the discussions about collaboration. We were joined by a couple of the LinkedIn success team who gave us a presentation about the LinkedIn Learning University product, which allows students at participating universities to watch LIL courses and lets professors assign courses to students as part of their curriculum.
The meetups were a great opportunity for instructors across topic areas to discuss potential collaborations on topics such as supply chain management in the construction industry. Stay tuned!
